How an explicit sound became A Joyful Noise

A Joyful Noise all started way back in 1998, with a different message, different genre, and a different appearance. Explicit Noise was the name of the group, and their message was rebellion, as was everything else in those days. A mix of hard rock combined with hip-hop roots rocked the sound scan at the time being. However, as time went by, the 8-person "band" dwindled down to two people determined to share the Good news of the Gospel. After a radical, faith-provoking experience at a Youth conference called "Dare 2 Share" in 2001, they changed their name to "A Joyful Noise" after Psalm 98:4, and fully adopted the Christian hip-hop genre. Now consisting of Triple D, M-Skary, DJ Big J, and P.T., A Joyful Noise is still rocking the mic with more poise than ever, and a six-song EP under way, entitled "Chi-Alpha Veracity."
